Office of Fire Prevention

In 2020, the Tulalip Bay Fire Department (TBFD 15) created the Office of Fire Prevention (OFP) for our department by way of our Board Of Commissioners (BOC).  The BOC also voted and placed the OFP and its operations under Commissioner Sherman's command and oversight.

The TBFD/15 OFP currently has Commissioner Sherman as its Fire Marshal.  The OFP has assisted in one fire investigation with the Snohomish County Fire Marshal's Office. The SCFMO is our primary fire investigation agency.  Please visit their link Fire Marshal | Snohomish County, WA - Official Website for more information.  The TBFD/15 OFP also reviews complaints related to burning and fire safety issues that include reviewing plans and information sent by the fire chief, operations, or the public.
In addition, the OFP reviews the fire chief's 4th of July plan in conjunction with our partner, the Tulalip Tribes, and their interests.  Please visit their link at The Tulalip Tribes || Home (tulaliptribes-nsn.gov) for more information.

To contact the the TBFD/15 OFP you can email Commissioner Sherman at his TBFD/15 email dsherman@firedistrict15.org.  If you need immediate contact related to fire prevention, contact Station 60 or call at 360-659-2416 and press 0 for 24 HOUR ON DUTY crews.
