SERVING OUR COMMUNITY WITH PRIDE.

HOW WE WORK.

Tulalip Bay Fire Department provides a variety of services, such as fire suppression, EMS with transport, water rescue, public education, hazardous material and a basic level of technical rescue.

Our Services.

  • The station is staffed with firefighter/EMTs 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. Emergency Medical Services make up majority of the 911 responses; therefore, all firefighters are also trained as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). Firefighters typically respond to medical emergencies in the aid unit; however, some responses require multiple units including the fire engine. All of the rigs are outfitted with specialized medical equipment as is found in an ambulance, so the highest level of care can be offered no matter what type of unit is responding.

  • On-duty firefighters are trained to a minimum of Firefighter 1 certification. Structure fires and wildland (brush) fires often require rapid firefighter interventions, such as delivery of water to the fire, search and rescue of occupants trapped inside a building, and the removal of toxic gasses and smoke.

  • Tulalip Bay Fire has a wildland firefighting program to better protect our community's natural areas, as well as deploy to large incidents in other parts of the country. Wildland firefighting is very different from structural and includes tasks like digging line, back burning fuels, and felling trees. Tulalip is proud to be able to offer these services to our community and our friends and neighbors near and far.

  • Fire District #15 also offers services such as water rescue. The Tulalip Fire Department and the Tulalip Police Department work in conjunction to provide water rescue services.

  • The Snohomish County Fire Marshal's Office conducts annual fire and life safety inspections for the purpose of renewing tenant certificate of occupancy. These inspections serve to verify that the occupancy meets the minimum building and fire code requirements. Our office also works closely with the commercial building inspectors to conduct on-site inspections for commercial properties and fire system installations.
